New Earth is anchored in a powerful line of whole wild superfoods, scientifically designed and produced to the most exacting specifications in the industry. Tucked away in the Cascade Mountains of Southern Oregon, fed by a network of mountain streams and springs, anchored in deep volcanic soil and 35 feet of mineral-rich sediment, beautiful Klamath Lake is Nature’s only abundant source of AFA, a wild, edible microalgae. New Earth has spent decades in developing custom equipment to harvest, process, and package the algae in the form of wild, natural, whole-food dietary supplements.
APHANIZOMENON FLOS-AQUAE (AFA) is a unique species of organic edible microalgae that is among the most ancient of all living organisms. Cyanobacteria have provided oxygen to Earth’s atmosphere and nutrients to marine life for over 3.5 billion years, and are the subject of current research ranging from medicinal properties to biofuel.
Algae are the basis of the entire food chain—the foundational nutrient source for life on Earth. Aphanizomenon flos-aquae is one of the planet’s most basic yet most powerful raw foods. Today, this edible microalgae is widely confirmed as the original ‘superfood’ that provides many, broad-range benefits.
The New Earth team is providing an informative and educational newsletter monthly to our providers and their colleagues that will be packed with information on all things algae and nutrition related!

Spotlight on Science
AFA WAS FOUND TO HAVE HIGHER ANTIOXIDATIVE POTENTIAL THAN OTHER TYPES OF BLUE-GREEN ALGAE.
In the 2021 study in Frontiers in Nutrition antioxidative potential is shown to be consistent among products of the same type, with A. flos-aquae samples having 4.4 times higher antioxidative potential compared to Chlorella spp. and 2.7 times higher compared to Spirulina spp. Dietary supplements and superfoods based on algae, known for their nutritional value and bioactive properties, are increasing in popularity among consumers today. This article will go through comparisons that also include heavy metal content as sourcing and testing is so important when guiding patients to the best superfood.
If you have a study, tip, or story you’d like to share, we’d love to highlight it and give you a shoutout! Send us an email at providersupport@newearth.com.
